I've previously said that I love gift-giving. Where I struggle is when I want to spend all my money on buying things for people I love. I'm serious. It's a problem. So here's a super simple, thoughtful gift for your friends this holiday season that won't break the bank. And it's consumable, so it's not going to sit in a closet for fifteen years collecting dust - BONUS!

These would also make a great gift for a teacher, coach, etc. too!

Let's Get Crafty

We're going to make dip-mix ornaments! An easy gift idea that will make a yummy addition to festive gatherings or holiday movie nights!

I'm obsessed with the limitless possibilities that empty/fillable clear ornaments present. We have a larger one that we put a ribbon in each Christmas that is how tall Bubs is. We have made cute ornaments with glitter and confetti inside them. I've seen memorial ornaments with a dog collar inside, etc. SO many possibilities! I bought the empty ornaments for this gift from our local Dollar Tree (2 for $1.25), but here's a bunch on Amazon too!

Now, you get to fill the ornament. We chose to fill ours with French Onion Dip/Soup mix. We bought the packets on sale at Superstore this week and used one packet per ornament. We could have fit more than one packet, but I figured for ease of following the box's recipe, we would just do one.

I grabbed some cute gift tags at the Dollar Tree as well, and then wrote out the directions on the backs. These packets make dip or soup, so our tags said "A warm hug on as cold day, or time with those you love..." and then gave the very simple instructions to prepare both the dip and the soup.
