What's Going in Our Easter Baskets

Easter is coming, fast and furious this year, and I've started to accumulate a few things here and there to put into our Easter baskets. Easter is a fun time to give some fun spring and summer necessities - things you're going to need to get anyway! If I can incorporate needs into fun holidays, you know I'm gonna take it!

Here's some of the things that we've got going into our baskets this year! I've given both online options that are deliverable to anyone, anywhere (mostly!), as well as options local to YXE! #lovelocal

Toddler

Our little guy will be 20 months on Easter weekend, so keep that in mind when looking at what we've got for him. He's growing fast, and is in a whole new stage from where he was this time last year!

Mess-Free Colouring

We love these Water-Wow books! They're great to pack when going out for dinner, for using in the car, or at home! Here's the links: Local or Online

Dairy-Free Chocolate

We have been doing a lot of research and have found a surprisingly large variety of plant-based chocolate, both locally and online! We've got a couple of these cute little bunnies to go in Bubs' basket this year. Here's the links: Local or Online

Sand Toys

With the way the snow is melting here in Sask this spring, these may be used in the snow too! Easter is the perfect opportunity to replace the summer toys that didn't quite make it through the year! We bought our set from our local Dollarama, but here's a few options: Local or Online.

Swimwear & Sandals

He's grown, so we need some new swimming gear! Both our new swimwear and sandals were thrifted (thanks Once Upon a Child, and Buy Nothing!), but I've given links to some super cute options here: Local or Online

Sidewalk Chalk

Again, an easy Dollarama find. I won't even link this one - you can find sidewalk chalk anywhere!

Book

We love to give books, so we got Bubs an Easter themed book to add to his basket. Here's links to the book we got: Local or Online

Gummy Candies

If you've been following along, you'll know we have eliminated artificial dyes from our diet. I was so impressed with the selection of dye-free options at our local London Drugs. I found a number of options both for Easter and for everyday! Here's a link: Local or Online

Water Bottle

Up to this point, Bubs has used a weighted straw cup. I feel as if he's getting to the age where he could use a "big-kid" water bottle. I've been looking at these ones from Costco. Here's a few other options: Local or Online

Hubs and I

I'm not sure it's the "right" thing to do, but I think the Easter bunny will bring treats for mom and dad too. Let's be honest, it's just going to include treats we already buy for ourselves, so we'll just include them in a basket just because!

Candy

Hubs is a sucker for wine gums, and I will do anything for chocolate anything, haha. We'll grab a couple of our favourites to add to our basket.

BBQ Seasonings & Tools

My husband loves to BBQ, and since Easter means the weather will be turning, I'll grab a couple of fresh rubs/seasonings for him. Here's a link to our fav local BBQ seasonings: Local or Online

Puzzle

I've wanted to start a puzzle for the longest time. This might be the perfect excuse to do one together! Here's one that looks so fun: Online

Gardening Gloves & Tools

Each summer I test out my green thumb. So far, I have poor fallow-through, LOL. But here's to trying! Maybe new gloves and a couple new tools will make a difference this year! Here's the links: Local or Online

Dress Socks

Fun socks are always a safe choice, especially for a guy who has to semi-dress up for work every day. Hubs loves fun dress socks, so I might included some of these in our basket for him! Here's a couple links: Local or Online

Craft Beer

If there's one thing my hubby loves, it's craft beer. He loves going to local breweries to try their new flavours. He is always buying small packs of different kinds of beer, so this is the perfect addition to our Easter treats basket! Here's some of his fav local breweries: Prairie Sun, Rebellion, High Key Brewing Co.

As you can see, I love any excuse to "gift" necessities LOL. Need toothpaste? Great, I'll make it part of a gift!

What are you including in your Easter baskets this year?
