A Box Full of Sunshine: Easy Gift Idea

It's a special lady's birthday and we wanted to do something for her. Ms C is our daycare provider and she is a literal God-send. She's so sweet, loving, kind, funny. We had to get something for her birthday, but as our daycare provider, she kind of falls into that "grey" category; not family or friend, but still deserves the special gesture to celebrate her.

If you haven't learned already, I love a good DIY! Themed gift baskets are so much fun to make, can be done on a budget, and show someone you took the time and energy to put together a special gift just for them.

For Ms C we put together a box full of sunshine!

A cardboard box wrapped in bright yellow wrapping paper, yellow tissue with yellow themed items inside - simple but just enough to make someone feel super special!

In my search for gift ideas, I found a number of different colour-themed gift boxes/baskets. Here's some of the ones I found:

  • "I just wanted to teal you (happy birthday/happy anniversary/get well/I miss you/etc)"

  • "Something blue 'cause I'm thinking about you"

  • "Have a sPINKtacular day"

  • "A little something to brighten your day"

  • "Tickled pink that it's your birthday"

  • "Have a purpley-perfect birthday"

  • "Orange you glad to have a friend like me"

  • "A good teacher is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have"

  • "You are red-iculously great"

Use your creativity - there's so many great ideas!
